Update on SASE

Hello everyone, this is a update on the process of establishing SASE at Lehigh. If you haven’t seen the earlier post about what SASE is, here the link Lehigh SASE.

Currently, we have determined our faculty advisor. We have also completed virtual meeting with Northeast Manager and Collegiate Programming Manager. An Executive Board has also been established. The National Registration and Bylaw have also been taken care of. We just need to present to the Lehigh Senate for approval and find more lowerclassmen to get involved for the future eboard.

We are also planning events for next year. One of the biggest event is going to be the National Conference. There were a lot of companies participating in the the conference. Big names include GE, P&G, Chrysler, Cisco, GM, Shell, Toyota, Boeing, Dupont, etc. The National Conference really help in terms of networking. You get to meet with representatives from all the big companies. It’s really helpful when you are looking for a job or connection. As for Chemical Enigeering majors, there are plenty of companies looking to hire CHE graduates. Shell is the biggest among them all. It’s really beneficial for the Chemical Engineering Majors and other majors for other disciplines to attend. It’s a invaluable opportunity and experience that you don’t want to miss out. Below includes the majority of the companies that participated in the National Conference and Career Fair in 2012. There’s more companies not included in the picture. For the coming year, the National Conference is going to be hold at Philadelphia in October. In addition to that, there’s also Regional Conferences. As for ChEs, it really makes it a lot easier to find a job.
